LAKESIDE AMUSEMENT PARK CAROUSEL
DENVER, COLORADO                                               SEPTEMBER 24, 2011
Sadly, this carousel is in dire need of restoration. The
paint in peeling, there are quite a few animals that appear
to have had broken legs repaired only with a good dose
of wood glue. The reason it's so sad is that all of these
animals are, or were, quite beautiful when they had a
good coat of paint. Perhaps the economy will turn around
and this carousel will get the TLC it truly needs, and
deserves. I would love to come back when restoration
has been completed, in order to see the difference, which
I'm sure will be quite dramatic.

Don't get me wrong, the carousel is still worth seeing,
and the building which houses it is very unique, typical
1970's architecture.

The entire amusement park is in nearly the same
condition. The entire amusement park could use a good
coat of paint and a few caring hands to apply it.
