This carousel is off the main parking lot for the San Diego Zoo in
Balboa Park. This carousel's life started in Los Angeles in 1912,
but moved to San Diego in 1914. It's been in a couple different
locations since it's move, but has been in it's current location since
the late 60's
If you plan to visit this carousel, I highly recommend you go on a
day when the Antique Pipe Organ is scheduled for a concert.
Either, by itself, is well worth th drive from just about anywhere.
When you have the opportunity to see both in the same trip, this
becomes a no-brainer.
