Photos

Over the past few years, my interests have strayed from taking photos of fire apparatus and fire scenes, to taking photos of fires stations. I still take those apparatus photos, and if there’s a fire, I’ll take pictures there as well, but with the Fire Prevention folks doing their jobs well, big fires are rare in the Phoenix area. Since I have always had an interest in structural design and layout, I guess this evolution is a natural one. I find the more classic-style fire stations, as well as some of the new designs, most appealing. Sometimes the more unique, the better, yet at other times, the more unique, the less appealing it can be. Some of the newer stations in the Phoenix area have stepped backwards towards the more classic designs, while others are taking paths not yet explored by others.
