If you’re looking for carousel photos, you’ve come to the right place. My goal is to share my own carousel photos with the world, but occasionally, you’ll see photos here from other sources.

My interests in carousels started right after high school when I took a job setting up rides for a local amusement company (yes, I was a Carnie). Although the carousel wasn’t my favorite ride to set up, it was my favorite to run. I didn’t much think about it as art back then, but that view would eventually be brought to my attention. My real love and appreciation of carousels came when I married a woman who loved carousels, in every way. She loved to look at them, she loved to ride them. I am fortunate enough to have a job that allows me to take time off to travel, and every journey took us to another carousel. So, over the past 20 years, or so, I’ve see a lot of carousels. Many of the pictures from past years will be scanned from paper photos or negatives. A couple years ago I graduated into the digital era, and the more recent photos were taken with a digital camera.

If you have photos you’d like to see posted here, send me an email with a copy or thumbnail of the picture. If I decide to use it, I will request a copy of the photo in an appropriate size for posting (I can resize an original, if necessary). I’ll also need your name and where the picture was taken so that you get all the credit you’re due.
